The Story of My Life (in three paragraphs)

I was born and raised in Berkeley, California. I attended L' Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley, a French-American school with a full bilingual curriculum. From there, I attended Maybeck High School, a small independent school near Berkeley's Telegraph Avenue (2000). I went on to San Francisco State University where I earned a BA in Criminal Justice (2002) and a MA in international Relations (2003).

In the fall of 2003, I began work on my Ph.D. in Political Science at UC Davis. Under the mentorship of Jeff Gill, Randy Siverson, and James Fowler I have focused on political methodology and the application of quantitative methods to the study of international politics.

After having spent the 2006-2007 academic year as a visiting pre-doctoral fellow at Harvard's Institute for Quantitative Social Science, I finished my Ph.D. in Spring 2007. Since then, I have been continuing as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science working on technology for automated data gathering with Gary King.
