Given the uniquely traumatic nature of the field exams, some classmates and I decided it might help future classes taking such exams to post some of our preparation materials online. What follows are subject outlines for the comprehensive exams in a variety of fields. They are mostly literature review outlines, but they also contain some original thought. Please use responsibly and do not cite without the author's permission.
Allong with the notes, I have posted a short introduction to LaTeX that I wrote up. It is very basic and designed to get a LaTeX novice up and running quickly.
I have also included a link to the Harvard exam notes hosted on Olivia Lau's web page.
Lastly, if you use these note for your exam prep and make your own outlines, I appreciate all contributions to this note collection.
