  Samir S. Soneji received his PhD in Demography from Princeton University in 2008. He also holds a MA in Statistics from Columbia University, a BS in Mathematics from the University of Chicago, and served as a Captain in the US Air Force. He is currently a Robert Wood Johnson Health and Society Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is working on projects on social inequality in preventive health care, mortality forecasting, Social Security projections, and avoidable death mortality.
